Spring swings, wild weeds and other things ~

We’re getting a new rhythm after our bursts of travel throughout this year. I’ve seen rhythm come up in home education discussions a great deal and guess it’s been inspiration feeding my thoughts of late.

From all that I’ve read around education, home education, the brain and how we learn best… I’ve been a big fan of rhythm over more recent years. It never crept into the breastfeeding and baby years, I must admit… but I never felt it necessary for us as a family then.

With the girls now 5 and 9, I’m sinking into a season of focus upon using rhythm for the purpose of flow, to reduce stress and create expectations that calm.

We are relaxed around the wheel that we’ve created, but have built it upon principles of health and essential aspects of our week based on our family values.

As we’ve settled back into our home life after travels these last few weeks, we’ve been loving our favourite season! Spring is the most beautiful time where we are! With wild flowers of all kinds, we’re loving the inspiration to journal!

This week the girls made swings on the tree vines and wondered the wetlands with friends ~ and with the green of spring suddenly everywhere, we’ve been bursting with excitement!

As we turn inward at home after a busy week, we spent time together over the last couple of days, making sure we store these special memories away for safe keeping!

After finding spring time wild edible weeds, we’ve not seen in many months, our excitement at their reemergence, has inspired this latest entry by our 9 year old.

Having also sent in our 5 year olds home education registration in this last week, I felt it fitting to mark the special occasion with a fresh entry.

I’ve been posting a good deal on social lately, which has seen our following grow… but I am inspired to turn my attention once more back to the blog. For I do truely lovel the expression that comes from sharing!

So, thank you for your readership! I can’t wait to get writing more again! There’s so much swirling around within, that I feel it to be such a vital form of self care and gift giving!

That’s it til next time! Love & gratitude, Leah
